How this data is built
- Prices, market caps, volumes and dominance come from CoinGecko. Values are never generated, interpolated or estimated: if the provider does not respond, the dashboard shows the 'unavailable' state.
- Every snapshot is stored in the database. If the provider fails, the last snapshot is served, flagged as not updated, together with its capture time.
- The provider's free plan does not expose the metric: Bull Lab computes it by subtracting from CoinGecko the market cap of BTC, ETH and the stablecoins identified by symbol, on the top 250 assets by market cap. The value is therefore an estimate.
- The collector respects the minimum interval between provider calls and retries with exponential backoff on failure.
